Our return policy is designed to be as fair as possible, taking into account the unique, perishable nature of fresh flowers and plants. Please read the following sections carefully to understand our policies for different product types.

Fresh Flowers, Arrangements & Live Plants

Due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers and live plants, these items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Our 24-Hour Freshness Guarantee:
We stand by the quality of our blooms. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of your fresh flowers or plants upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase or delivery.

  • How to Report an Issue: Please email us at thebloomerieflorist@gmail.com or call us at 1-778-379-7037 with your order number and a photo of the item in question.
  • Our Promise: Once we assess the issue, we will be happy to offer a replacement of equal value or provide a store credit. We do not offer cash refunds for perishable goods. The “why” is simple: the lifespan of fresh flowers and plants is highly dependent on their environment and the care they receive after leaving our shop. A 24-hour window allows us to address any quality issues from our end.

Non-Perishable Goods (Vases, Pots, Tools, Candles, etc.)

We gladly accept returns on non-perishable merchandise.

  • Return Window: You may return eligible items for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase.
  • Condition: All returned items must be in new, unused, and resalable condition, with all original tags and packaging intact.
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.
  • How to Return: Simply bring the item and your proof of purchase to our flower shop in Kitsilano during business hours.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit:

  • All fresh flowers, floral arrangements, and live plants (subject to our 24-Hour Freshness Guarantee).
  • Custom or special-ordered items.
  • Items marked as “Sale” or “Clearance.”
  • Gift cards.
  • Tickets for workshops and special events (see specific event terms for cancellation policies).

  • For Fresh Flower Quality Issues: Please contact us within 24 hours by email or phone.
  • For Non-Perishable Goods: Please bring the item with your receipt directly to our shop in Kitsilano.

Who pays for return shipping?
As a local shop, we primarily handle returns in-store. If an eligible non-perishable item was shipped to you, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

What if my returned item is damaged or used?
We cannot accept returns on items that are not in their original, resalable condition. If an item is returned damaged, used, or without its original packaging, we reserve the right to deny the return, and no refund will be issued.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds for eligible returned items will be processed to the original method of payment (e.g., back to your credit card or debit card). If you prefer, we can also issue the refund as store credit.

How long does it take to process a refund?
In-store returns are processed immediately. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or credit card statement, as processing times can vary between financial institutions.

Do you offer exchanges?
Yes! We are happy to exchange any eligible non-perishable item for another product in our shop within the 14-day return window.

Is there a restocking fee?
No, we do not charge a restocking fee for eligible returns.

Do you have a different policy for holidays (like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day)?
Our standard return policies apply year-round, including during holiday periods. The 24-hour quality guarantee for fresh flowers remains the same.
